The registration fee for the symposium covers conference registration, coffee breaks, lunches, ice breaker, banquet, and poster session for the duration of the Symposium.

Travel Support for Early Career Researchers

The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Polarforschung e.V. (DGP) offers travel support for early career scientists attending the ICRSS 2018. Here are the most important information on the application and selection process:

Early career scientists: students, PhD candidates or PostDocs within their first five years since their PhD

Travel support between 200 and 300 Euro (final allowance depends on amount of applications)

German applicants have to be member of the DGP. You can hand in your request on membership together with the travel support application. Please see this link:

The executive board of the DGP will view all applications and decide on whom to grant travel support for the ICRSS 2018

All registered early career researchers / engineers are eligible to participate in the competition for the 15. ICRSS Best Young Researcher Presentation Awards:

  • Best oral presentation (250€)
  • Best poster presentation (250€)
