Welcome to a small but growing network of near-real time cameras being deployed by the Cold Regions Lake and Landscape Research group to observe freezeup and breakup on Alaskan lakes. We currently have three cameras located on lakes at Toolik Field Station and one camera located at Teshekpuk Lake.
Toolik Lake, LOR Lake, and NE14 Lake are the three lakes currently being observed at the Toolik Field Station. These cameras capture and transmit hourly photos between 08:00 and 20:00 Alaska standard time. The Teshekpuk Lake camera is currently controlled through a remote connection and daily to subdaily images are acquired. For each camera, the last four photos are shown below. Please note the timestamp on each image as there may be some delay with the current time.
